Default Yamaha SW-45 subwoofer question

Hi Folks,
I've read the user manual, searched the web, but can't find the answer
to this question: Does the Yamaha SW-45 subwoofer, when using the
speaker-level inputs, employ a high-pass filter for small satellite
speakers like a BOSE, or does it just pass on the full-range signal?
I want to replace a passive BOSE sub with a powered sub, without
spending large bucks. Any Advice?
Thanks,
Rob

Yes the adjustable high cut filter is adjusting what goes to the sub and
passes the rest to the main speakers. It should be a definite step up from
the 50 hz or so you could get from the Bose.
