I'm not impressed with the so-called "theory" behind Richard Grahams's
tweaks, but neither can I deny that two rao'ers have increased their personal pleasure by use of them. "Fella's" statement that the music seemed to slow down is an indication of an altered state of consciousness, which can be induced by many things. A mental crutch is a good thing, if it works harmlessly. I do suggest to "Fella" that there are probably many other things he could to to induce the same altered pleasured state, without the silly picture on top of his speakers. Fella, consider putting some art on the wall where they will catch your eye and soul. Most of us, except for the very rare, would like our emotional tenor to be a little different from what it is. Some of us are constantly in search of something that will help us relax, unwind; others of us, feeling too relaxed for optimum experience, want to speed up, feel more intense. This manifests in our choice of music, beverage, and lifestyle. Due to these differences, it was extremely difficult to come up with a Tweak that would be universally effective for all mankind. However, because of the effulgent brillance of my mind, which exceeds that of Richard Graham by seven order of magnitude *************I HAVE SUCCEEDED!!!!!!!!******************* *************BOB MOREIN, ********************* ********SAVOUR AND AUDIO PROPHET*********** ********DESCENDS TO EARTH FOR THIS POST************* And yo rao'ers are about to be the recipients of my unbounded benificense, my gentle nature, and my all-caring soul. It even works for Limeys! Before I continue, I should mention that this tweak has been PROVEN to work only for female vocals. Find a pinup of your favorite FEMALE. For the majority of you, it has to be female. Whatever you choose, it must be the embodiment of Sex Goddess, Earth Mother, and Audio Whore. She must be willing to do anything for you, a helluva lot more than your wife or average streetwalker. Pay attention now: 1. Big Boobs 2. Expansive Buttocks 3. A Face with Prominent Cheekbones 4. Pearly White Teeth 5. A Sweetness that will allow you to imagine that she welcome you showing up at her digs unannounced to proclaim your True Love for her. Tape this to your speakers. If the picture is good enough, it won't matter if it drapes over the tweeters. Not one bit at all. Now, for the Break-In instructions: Obtain a recording of the song "Pink Lipstick". Play this continuously with the speakers facing your listening position. Important: One the recording is playing, you must leave the room, and must not enter for ten hours, or ******THE SPELL WILL BE BROKEN******* I don't have to tell you what the consequences of a broken spell are. At the end of the breakin period, you are free to re-enter the room. At this point, you may notice that the picture has disappeared, and that the stereo has been turned off. Fear not: the picture has merely been teleported into another dimension. The temporary unpowering of your stereo is a 5th dimensional suckout actually beneficial to achieving a "black background". You are now ready to experience the Power of the Tweak. Play your favorite female vocal. It sounds better. If it doesn't sound better, you're a stupid cone-headed American like me, because it has to turn out like I say. That's the whole point. In a future post, I'll tell you how to reverse the pinup to achieve a really big Bottom End. Ba-Boom! Ba-Boom! Ba-Boom! Enjoy! I'll be back to sell you pinups that have an electret backing so they cling without tape. Oh, and Dr. Graham? Are you there? "Shovels" is a term George Middius uses to refer to you. Regards, Robert Morein BA-BOOM!!! |

Fella, consider putting some art on the wall where they will catch your eye and soul. Thanks for the suggestions Bob. It seems you've not read my post to the letter as I never said I put the "silly" thing on my speakers. I put it on my big ass amp. That amp looks like a "facility" rather then a piece home audio equipment. I think something "silly" on top of it would do it good, give it some humility, at least for a sometime. My wife recently asked me what that "piece of paper" was doing on the amp and I said "just don't touch it"... But it is pretty damn soon I am going to start doping some explaining. I love the way she laughs at this silly hobby of mine but this one is way over the top for her... Yes Bob, the tweak is all about altering perception, conciousness. No matter how fluctuating a persona I still thank SHP for the bravery of presenting us with such a marvelous tweak. And I still thank him for the tweak itself. I dont think what you write and what I snipped below would do anything at all to the sound. But I'll give a try nevertheless. ![]() Peace to all man. Keep it cool. Stop barking at each other like that and listen to music ya'll. I will try to stop posting to this forum, yet again, for some months at least, that much falbbergasted I am. So don't no one provoke me, ok... ![]() Peace be with you, bro. |

They're not "Richard Graham's tweaks", imbecile. And I'm not impressed with your ignorance about the theories, particuarly since you know next to nothing about the theories to begin with. I do note however, that you say you can't deny 2 RAOers having increased their enjoyment of sound, yet you had no problem denying the fact that I had. This speaks to what I was saying in my thesis ("Message to the ignorant pigs of RAO") about how "mindless sheep" like you Robert, only begin to consider something valid if they look at their peers and see that they have experienced it. Obviously, I'm not of your "peers". Thank God for small mercies. If, for example, some engineers in the organization you belong to, the IEEE, starting studying quantum effects on our perception of sound and taking the subject seriously, so would you begin to take it seriously. Some people are leaders, some are mindless followers. You're a follower. What else is new? "Fella's" statement that the music seemed to slow down is an indication of an altered state of consciousness, which can be induced by many things. No, it is NOT any kind of such indication. It is merely a description of his perception of sound. (note that it isn't an "altered state of consciousness", but not for the reason you gave). What this comment of yours is, is an indication of is you constantly over-analyzing things and arrogantly believing you are right all the time, but in fact, taking yourself further away from the truth. For someone who believes himself a thinker, I find you really don't think very hard. A mental crutch is a good thing, if it works harmlessly. Your mental crutch that audio stops at Newtonian laws is not a good thing. For an audio engineer, such ignorance is never "harmless". I do suggest to "Fella" that there are probably many other things he could to to induce the same altered pleasured state, without the silly picture on top of his speakers. There you go again "pretending" you're an expert on things you know nothing about, and have never studied. You don't even know what that state is, to be able to find alternatives to it. And why is a picture on the wall less "silly" somehow, than a picture on a wooden box? Have you ever been to a museum, ignoramus? Ever seen a sculpture placed atop a wooden column, which highly resembles a speaker? Just because you have an awful lot of insecurities Bob, doesn't mean everyone has to share your neurotic afflcitions, does it? Fella, consider putting some art on the wall where they will catch your eye and soul. Or you can ingest glue into your nostril like Robert does, and mix anti-depressants with depressants, for that perfect "balance and harmony". Most of us, except for the very rare, would like our emotional tenor to be a little different from what it is. Some of us are constantly in search of something that will help us relax, unwind Not all of us, however, end up drinking drain cleaner to unwind, like you. others of us, feeling too relaxed for optimum experience, want to speed up, feel more intense. I'm sure you have drugs for that as well, in your little black bag. This manifests in our choice of music, beverage, and lifestyle. And your obsessive posting habits, as we can see. Due to these differences, it was extremely difficult to come up with a Tweak that would be universally effective for all mankind. However, because of the effulgent brillance of my mind, which exceeds that of Richard Graham by seven order of magnitude LOL! Thank you for making me spill my milk again! *************I HAVE SUCCEEDED!!!!!!!!******************* *************BOB MOREIN, ********************* ********SAVOUR AND AUDIO PROPHET*********** ********DESCENDS TO EARTH FOR THIS POST************* God, what an ego on this maniac. And yo rao'ers are about to be the recipients of my unbounded benificense, my gentle nature, and my all-caring soul. I saw your "gentle nature and all caring soul" after receiving a threat of litigation from your lawyer, for having simply repeated what you told me about having tried and enjoyed my l-shape tweak. It even works for Limeys! Racist bigot too. Nice. Have you finally exhausted all ways in which to make a fool of yourself, Robert? Before I continue, I should mention that this tweak has been PROVEN to work only for female vocals. Find a pinup of your favorite FEMALE. For the majority of you, it has to be female. If the picture is good enough, it won't matter if it drapes over the tweeters. Not one bit at all. I've got a better one. Get a couple of pictures of your wife. Someone whom you presumably do truly love. Make sure one is a current snap, and the other is an earlier snapshot from her infancy or childhood. Place each in separate zip lock bags. Now stick them in your freezer, and listen again to your sound system. Since your only fliration with "love" is the whore that hangs around the corner of your street, this obviously won't apply to you, Rob. rest of worthless dumb joke tweak snipped Play your favorite female vocal. It sounds better. If it doesn't sound better, you're a stupid cone-headed American like me, because it has to turn out like I say. That's the whole point. Then you are a stupid cone-headed American. I would certainly never say that. Oh, and Dr. Graham? Are you there? "Shovels" is a term you use to refer to George Middius. I know that Robert. He also uses it to refer to himself. He's kind of off his rocker, which is why I'm one of the few that pays any attention to him (out of pity). Not unlike you. Regards, Robert Morein BA-BOOM!!! That must be the sound of your brain imploding. You've finally lost the rest of your marbles, Bob. |

Robert, you were already something of a neurotic clown on this group, but you're reducing yourself to a self-parody now. Trolling for the sake of trolling. You've sunken to the levels of a Dave Weil or a George Middius. For someone of your education and with your employer reading your posts, you are courting a lawsuit, and you are putting your job and your standing in the community at jeopardy. I feel sorry for you.
