I got my son a Lionel G scale Thomas the Train (he is 2.9, and Thomas is
like the rolling stones to him or something) along with the usual
educational software and other stuff that he really should have but won't
thrilled to open on christmas morning.

In a perfect world...

I also got him a new UA M610 preamp, a Neumann U87 and a sound card. Since
he isn't old enough to use it yet, I will put it to good use in the mean
time.... I don't want my son to have to pay vintage prices in 14 years, when
I can get the stuff he will call vintage, cheap now : )
