oups.com i ask since mp3 is ALREADY a compressed file............or can on cd's be converted to atrac? The usual paradigm for converting lossy compressed files from one format to another is: Compressed file format A - .wav file (uncompressed) - Compressed file format B. or in your case: MP3 - .wav file (uncompressed) - ATRAC This should always produce a file that has some kind of sound in it. However, the process stacks losses on top of losses, so sound quality reductions should not surprise you. |
