A. Krueger says:
"When you can provide a good spec for the DBT that you want, let

me
know"

You don't like mine?

There's hardly anything to like or not like. There's no substance.

That's OK. I only know of what passes for a valid
DBT in medical research, is acceptable to reputable medical

journals
and to your Federal Drug Administration.

That's a hoot!

I thought that a reasoned discussion could be held even
with an old believer. I was wrong.

Agreed, given you are the old believer, Ludo.

The bottom line is that you're way out of your depth. There are formal
specifications of a proper blind testing methodologies that are
well-known
and readily availble to the public. You obviously aren't well-informed
enough to properly cite them. Come back when you buy, steal, borrow
or are
given a clue.

Mr. Krueger, ever since my Army days I was allergic to
people pulling rank when short of an answer. I was a full time
employee of the Medical Research Ccil. of the U.K., the very cradle of
DBTS , long before you ever heard the word.
Now that we got this out of the way I'll stop this
pointless and boring correspondence till you produce references to
articles showing that DBT/ABX had ever, ever permitted a reasonable-
sized panel to hear differences between comparable audio components.
Use any definition of DBT *YOU* like and stop quibbling.

It's not a matter of rank Ludo, its a matter of practiciality. Given your
well-known nit-picking ways, nobody in their right mind would attempt to
deal with you without a detailed spec provided by your sweet self.

I was a full time
employee of the Medical Research Ccil. of the U.K., the very cradle of
DBTS , long before you ever heard the word.

Delusions of omnisicence relative to when I ever heard the word, noted.

I've known about DBTs since the late 1960s. That puts my familiarity with
them at or near the half-century mark. If you want to criticize that, be my
guest.

Besides, what does " full time employee of the Medical Research Ccil"
mean - you know their janitor is probably a full-time employee!

Use any definition of DBT *YOU* like and stop quibbling.

No Ludo, you provide the detailed spec. If you can't be bothered, then that
is that. Fine with me!

Agreed. Just goes to show that even when you wish that Weil would say
something witty, he disappoints. Weil does a great job of running beer and
groveling for tips, I hear tell.

Maybe they should teach you to read there at Colorado State.

And to think I thought it was an institution of higher learning.

Don't forget that lots of people can use university ISP's. They are not all
either students or faculty. There used to be a "clerk" that posted from such
an address. You know the rest

You're trapped in your own lies about having "ZILLIONS" of
references to positive ABX?DBT by a panel when in fact you can't quote a
single one.
And how do you deal with it?
First you try the "switch and bait" diversion to a
definition of DBT that you hope to argue about forever.
When that doesn't work there is always slander:
Besides, what does " full time employee of the Medical Research Ccil.
mean - you know their janitor is probably a full-time employee!

It is a puzzle to me why do you insist on confirming the
worst that people say about you. But then I'm a cardiologist not a shrink

attention from your imaginary "zillions"

I kind of doubt arny really is doing what he wants with his life.

Actually, I'm having too much fun.

I suspect he wishes he were a real player in the audio industry.

I don't even know what that means. Please explain.

I think such disapointment could go a long ways towards explaining his
behaviour.

I think that the explanation is a lot more obvious. I like talking about
audio and figuratively kicking golden ear ass. I talk audio with real
people, and kick golden ear ass with real idiots such as yourself, Scott.
