Wow! What a cool system!
I'm using an ASC (Acoustic Science Corp.) Matrix panel behind the Listening Couch. It sort of randomly diffuses and absorbs.Unlike that stupid dog who tries to abfuse and disorb :-) Anyway,my panel is about six foot wide x three feet tall. It's framed in nicely finished solid maple with a handsome tweedy tan fabric, and bevelled all around. They come in different sizes and fabrics. It really does a nice job in my small room where I'm too close to the rear wall. Of course shipping such an object from US to UK might be prohibitively expensive.Suggest you contact ASC and describe what you want to do,they're very helpful.I don't have their URL handy, but if you google it ,should come right up. Cheers, Andy ------------------------------------------------------------- Mike wrote: Following acoustic room treatments trials substantial improvements to imaging and soundstaging was achieved by applying 164cm x 146cm Illsonic Sonex acoustic tiles between the speakers (and I thought it was very good already!) http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/mike_g/mike_g.htm (on the chimney brest, were the picture is). Unfortunately WAF does not apply and definitely gets a thumbs down visually so now I have to find a way of making an easily replaceable/removable tile area. Suggestions so far: Mount all the tiles on a board. Glue the tiles to a cloth backing and hang it. Use a foldable wire frame. Use a large sheet of antivibration material. I'd appreciate further suggestions especially if reduced for storage. TIA Mike |
