Hi!
I'm still using a blackface ADAT ad additional ADC. My soundcard offers only two ADAT-Ins. And the ADAT is connected to the second input. Since I have a SPDIF-ADAT converter now I want to use the second soundcard input for this converter, too. Without having to remove the lightpipes in the dark depths of the rack... ADAT source - Blackface ADAT - ADAT in of soundcard (SPDIF-ADAT-CONV.) When the Blackface is switched to digital Input, will the signal directly be routed to it's optical output? The input is 24bit. But the ADAT has only 16bit. So I wonder if there is any loss of the last 8bits. This can happend if the signal is not routed directly through but is converted digitally. The optoGen chip offers a 16bit format. Which syncsource does the ADAT use then. I think the digital input, not the 9pin clock source, right? |
