Default ProTools

Actually, according to the specs at
http://www.digidesign.com/products/mbox/ the Pro Tools LE 6.1 software
that currently comes with the Digidesign Mbox does work with Windows
XP.

Hi guys

Considering ProTools as the software to use in my Home-Pc Recording Studio.
However, I took a look at the Digidesign website, and it seems to only
function with their hardware modules. At least, that's the impression I
got...Did I miss something?

Objective:
If I was to, say, look for ProTools on the high street, what version would I
be looking to buy for PC?

Regards
Oliver

Hello, I think you will find that Pro Tools won't run on NT based
Windows systems ie NT, 2000 and XP. If you use windows 9x you can
download a free version from Digidesign's site:
http://www.digidesign.com/ptfree/

I am familiar with Pro - Tools software on the Mac and Logic and Cubase
on PC. Personally I prefer Logic but the Windows version has been
abandoned (maybe you can get a version cheap tho...)
