Hello:
I have a HK A-402 amp that I have been using since the 70's. The left channel recently started to lose volume and sometimes renders no volume at all. I can depress the Tone Defeat switch on the 402 front panel to sometimes get the left channel signal back, but it still usually is not as loud as the right channel. Also, it usually reverts back to rendering little to no volume, over time. Does this sound like something a little compressed air and cleaner (Deoxit?) might cure? I have never had any problems with this amp so I've never cleaned it or had it serviced. I'm sure it is pretty dusty inside though. TIA. |
