Default Good (built-in) headphone amp-opinions?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to get a used amplifier or receiver with a decent
headphone amp. I don't want a dedicated amp, it's not really what I'm
looking for; I want something that is excellent to passable built-in.
I want to replace the amp (a receiver is ok too) in my second system,
which is made up of old components (turntable, tuner, cd) and want
something that will shine with my sennheisers. I have a NAD amp in
that spot now and find the accuracy, while quite revealing a little
too stand-offish. Also the NAD is on the weak side for my headphones.
Something a little warmer would be nice. I'm considering amps all the
way back to the days of tube, so if you have any anecdotal information
about enjoying listening to a particular amp/receiver through
headphones, please share.

By the way, I have heard and participated in the whole accurate versus
colored debate, over and over, and I am not interested in that
anymore. What I am interested in is experiences you found enjoyable,
pleasing to the ear for whatever reasons.

Thanks in advance,

Add to your short list of noteworthy integrated amps:
The Yamaha AX-596 ($550). It has bass, treble,
balance, and loudness controls. A direct line level
input, pre and power amp sections that can be
separated. And yes, it has a good headphone amp.
Powerful enough to blow my Beyerdynamic DT-831
headphones.
