If you take the time to see the hundreds of reviews, and thousands of products within our show reports, you would note that only a very, very small fraction advertise. This is an admission of every charge against you, Steven R. Rochlin, and against your shill operation, EnjoyTheMusic. You stand accused of being "a parasite on high fidelity, pushing bland and incompetent **** because the makers pay you for adverising on your silly site". Your answer is that you push the bland and incompetent **** of many others as well. Of course you do, so that you can say to them, "Look, here is a lying review that flatters your useless ****. Advertise with me and I'll never stop flattering your useless ****." You're so shameless that you don't even bother to deny that at Rochlin Ripoff Inc advertising payments buy better reviews. It is to avoid this sort of abuse that real magazines are operated by men who know enough, and have pride enough, and capital enough, to separate the editorial and advertising sales functions into separate offices and executives. In the rest of the thread in which you stand accused (1) and pretty well proven guilty and convicted of this and other crimes against fidelity, the usenet, honesty and decency, you will also find that your behaviour is condemned by the professional body of advertising agents in the US, by the professional body of publishers in the US (who roundly applaud the 4As policy), by leading figures in consumer protection in Washington, by the lawmakers in the US, by the EU, by a wide variety of decent, honest people with their minds in gear. But your answer is that you would like to commit your dishonesties on a larger scale! More smoke (2) snipped, as well as the usual Rochlin backscratching of the most disgusting of the garage vermin. In ten years Rochlin hasn't grasped that I despise him, and those he sucks up to, for his and their selfserving claim that the usenet exists only to enrich them by providing a free advertising channel for their substandard and, in Rochlin's case, actually harmful, ****. Thanks again everyone for your posts as they have been extremely helpful for what may become an article concerning unmoderated newsgroups. You do that, Rochlin. We'll discover if you can actually write anything with more backbone than that prophylactic full of Jello you resemble so closely. In all the years of EnjoyTheMusic.Shill I haven't seen a single example of honest text from you, or indeed from any of your fellow-travellers in that blandly indiscriminate gush of bought approval of crap being pushed onto unsuspecting fashion victims. The best test of whether what you write is worthwhile is that a real publisher will pay you real money to print the article on real paper. If you have to publish your article on EnjoyTheMusic.VanityWarning it is by definition rubbish. Steven R. Rochlin EnjoyTheMusic.HelpMeGetRichQuick You're a disgrace, man. Hi Pete and Alan,
Andre did exactly as expected. His actions are perfectly in line with Bruce Kendall's "The Ultimate Guide for the Militant Audio Enthusiast." Andre may have missed reading my editorial last year titled "Scams, Sock Puppets And Gorilla Marketing." http://www.enjoythemusic.com/magazin...0405/scams.htm Though pointing out this article may only further educate him and help in fine-tuning his tactics. Best wishes to all and in the end what really matters is that we all... Enjoy the Music (Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here right now), Steven R. ![]() Andrew Jute McCoy committed a whining exudation consisting of: Amazing how many of the socalled "audiophiles" whose chequebooks are bigger than their taste or their common sense want to defend Steven R Rochlin. Last I looked, there was damned little defense of Mr. Rochlin here, and quite a bit of disdain (or worse) for Mr. McCoy. Answering a couple of questions asked in this thread: Is Mr. McCoy more stupid than he looks? Well, that makes the assumption that it is on some scale of comparison that such a descriptive would be relevant and applicable. It is obsessive, socially inept and though clever with words, not terribly bright. So, with those handicaps, "Stupid" is not applicable as its behavior is entirely beyond its control. As to any sort of suit for defamation against it, consider: That one would win is obvious, even in an Irish court where Blarney is a given and looked at somewhat favorably. But what would one gain? Its assets (being generous): A clapped out bicycle. Maybe two. A SET amplifier that does not work and of dubious salvage value. Speakers fit only for Gregorian Chant at low volume Possibly other similarly spavined, limited audio gear, but of dubious value as well. 298 copies of each of its titles from a number of vanity publishers. The full print run less two, of course. Various personal items that Goodwill would refuse. Its entire bank account or a pint of Guiness... the latter will be worth more. Its future earnings less basic living expenses... In other words, a collosal waste of time for no possible worthwhile gain. As to its name: There is a listing in Cork, Ireland for Andre Jute. That it is its real name is unlikely. Under Published Authors, it lists an Andrew Jute McCoy as a writer of hackneyed fiction on common themes. The reviews are pretty dreadful. But as every other part and piece of its sad, silly, desperately unhappy and frustrated existence is a lie, or based on lies, why not the name as just another affectation along with its other assumed expertise?
