Yeah, let's not forget that those charged with crimes don't deserve a defense, especially bad dictators. And god knows, those darn homosexuals, besides wanting to gasp subject children to ridicule and a metaphoric tar-and-feahering, they actually have the nerve to politically organize. What do you think this is, America or something? Anyone who gives money to an organization which supports them should be ashamed of themselves. Yep, Joseph Farah strikes again with his "independent" viewpoint. |

I'll preface this by saying I'm not a Kerry supporter. I don't like him. This is not an apologia for John Kerry....... The referenced article is Orwellian Misdirection at its best. Wow! I like her (TH Kerry) even more now. She was, until recently, a registered Republican. So I'm surprised she has a history of supporting liberal causes. You should note that much of the article is idle speculation that attempts to make connections between organizations her organization supports and terrorist groups. Not only is that a weak rhetorical trick, but it's not executed very well, either. BTW, do you get a lot of your news from WND? It looks a lot like a supermarket tabloid for right-wing nutjobs, yet you seem like a reasonable and measured guy. There are ads for books by Michael Savage, Dr. Laura, and David Limbaugh. There's content by guys like David Frum. There are ads for books positing links between the OK City bombers and Islam. What I'm getting at here is that I don't think a serious Republican would want to have anything to do with this publication. As for a candidate's wife being a liability, I think that's pathetic. It's likely, but it's pathetic. (You *do* know that while in high-school Laura Bush ran a stop-sign and crashed into a friend's car, killing him, don't you? Plus, she's got that glazed-over look that I've come to associate with people on Haldol and Lithium). Besides, I'd rather have a president whose spouse has ties to an organization who has ties to other organizations who have **VERY TENUOUS, UNPROVEN** ties to organizations that have been accused of having terroristic ties than a *president* who has MUCH CLOSER ties to terrorism. (Think Bandar bin Sultan, AKA Bandar Bush's wife and her Islamic Charities, Carlyle Group, Global bin Laden, et. al. Kerry's ties are via three or four degrees of separation from his WIFE, but Bush's ties are via one degree of separation to HIM.) GZ |

![]() "Le Artiste" wrote in message ... "ScottW" emitted : http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=37244 Interesting article if true. Kerry might find his deep pockets wife has some skeletons in her closet. According to the article Teresa Heinz indirectly or directly supports reformation of the death penalty, abortion rights, homosexuals rights, gun control, needle exchange programs, euthanasia (presumably seeking to reform laws), legal defense for people who may be vulnerable to mistreatment under new terrorism laws, civil and human rights etc. The journalist who wrote the article seems to have an agenda - tries to portray many of these things as "bad things". Then there's cheap shots like suggesting tenuous links to terrorist organizations, without providing any substance or background to the accusation. Sort the wheat from the chaff, as they say.. :-) Well, what did you expect from Scottie? This is the kind of mental diet he feeds off of day in and day out. Seems he's allergic to healthy mind food. |

Ah Glenn, surely you are not trying to make something of the fact that W's daddy and Osamar bin Laden's daddy are not only friends but have business connections. Why, that would be unfair. I am sure that these connections have _no_ influence on the president's behavior. It would be churlish to suggest otherwise. :-) John Atkinson Editor, Stereophile |

Actually, the whole article is a series of strained connections and twisted wording. Saying she supports "Islamists" sounds really close to "terrorists," when all she did was donate to a charity that supports Muslims. It's amazing how much our language has been corrupted in the last two and a half years. Boon |

Unless of course you're an idiot. Open your ****ing eyes, Mike!!!! Are you really this much of a Pollyanna? Your guy (yes -- *your* guy, no matter how much you protest to the contrary) is a tool and an outright disaster to the US and to the world. Admitting he has the glaring character flaws that are obvious to just about everyone on the planet is *not* the same as endorsing the liberals you so love to hate because they want your taxes. Your autonomic defense of the man makes you look downright stupid. Just as stupid, in fact, as a liberal watching Clinton denying the Lewinsky blow-job and concluding, "y'know -- Clinton is telling the truth." Try being objective for once -- most of your brothers-in-arms on this NG can call a spade a spade. Are you really this ignorant about human nature? Is your emotional IQ so low that you can't read body-language or facial expressions? Are you really such a poor judge of one's ability to use speech and the written word that you actually conclude it's plausible that Bush could be an intellectual and is among the best and the brightest? Is your distaste for parting with your tax dollars so strong that you don't even bother applying the simplest "smell-test" to anything about Bush? Try to rebut this with something other than "An opinion you get to have" or yet another tired reference to Clinton's litany of transgressions. GZ |
