Default Audio Physics for home theater

Anyone know how one is supposed to use Audio Physic speakers for home
theater when the suggested placement is halfway into the room?

Anyone tried to?

Yes. Audio Physic speakers are not high on WAF when you try to position them
correctly. You really need a dedicated listening room, and a fairly large one
at that. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

A friend of mine has Virgos. They are well out into the room (more like a
third than a half), spread wide, and toed in drastically, with the listening
position relatively close. Like this, they throw the biggest soundstage I've
ever heard, and they disappear like no other box speaker in the world. Up
against the wall, in a more conventional set-up, they sound rather ordinary.
