I'm trying to set up a gate with a sidechain in the dynamics processing
section in Cool Edit Pro 2....
Is this possible because I can't find it anywhere....

Your best approximation would probably be to apply the sidechain eq to the
audio you want to process, do the dynamics processing, and then apply
complementary eq to restore flat response.

The easiest way I've found is to use the DB-Ddynamics processor DXPlugIn
from www.db-audioware.com
