I'm currently looking to replace the stock head unit in my '03 Dodge Ram.
The main reason for this is to have MP3 capability. I have a hands free kit that I installed which includes the mute option when the phone is in use. The stock radio has a spot in the harness plug that kills the radio when it receives +12v...piece of cake. However, I've been searching high and low and can't seem to find *any* head units that say they include this function. Maybe they all do, but I'd like some proof or advice before I buy. Sure, I know I can put a relay in line with the main power lead to the unit and it will work (I had that setup on my last truck), but I much prefer the silence of the mute function I have now (without the click). Thanks for any help! --Mike |
