Hi guys,
It's been a long time since I posted here! Things seem to have changed a lot... About a year ago, someone stole my CD player and broke my dash into a lot of little pieces. This turned out not to be so bad, though, because it gave me a chance to build my own dash out of fiberglass (which was a lot of work, but a lot of fun). Anyway, this time I recessed the deck to be flush with the panel, but I've had a real hard time getting the edges to be perfectly straight. I got it as straight as I could using a piece of particle board and sandpaper, but it's still a bit wavy. Is there a better way to get a "perfectly" (relatively) straight edge here? We're talking a 90 degree angle, the width of a standard deck, and about 1/2" deep. I wouldnt' be so concerned except that the rest of the dash looks perfect, and this is the only area that makes it look homemade. TIA, Mike |
