At the moment. I have in a 1990 Potiac 6000 four door:
Pioneer Premier DEH-P660 HU Infinity Reference 4x6 component plate speakers up front with BassBlockers@300Hz Infinity Reference 3-way 6x9's mounted to rear deck I can barely believe how much better this set-up sounds over the factory setup lol Anyways, I am soon planning on purchasing two 10" Infinity Reference DVC subs and feeding each 250w RMS, probably from a Rockford amp unless I am convinced that another would serve me better. I have about $600-$700 to spend. Where I'm stuck is whether to put them in a pre-fab sealed box or a pre-fab ported enclosure. I know nothing of enclosure sizes and tuning them. Like most peeps, I'm going for sound quality, tight, fast, but still loud bangin bass as I listen to techno/trance/house music at high volume. Which box would you recommend? Crutchfield.com says ported for louder bass, and a sealed box for high power applications. They didn't specify how much power is "high power". I'm new to this all. If you have any real good car audio links applying to this stuff then that would be great too. And, where I can get a guide to installing the amp, as far as wiring what to what etc. I've installed everything myself so far as I am an electrician by trade and would like to install the amp/subs myself to =) |
