How much should one expect to pay for a car audio shop to install a
deck that was not purchased at their store? I'm thinking of buying a
deck online becase of the serious savings but am woried that, after
paying for install, the price will be about the same as going down to
a local dealer.

Nothing special, probably a Pioneer deck with sub controls.
