....I have a Sony MDX-C6500X (MD head unit) that I snagged off eBay,
and I want to install it in my '96 Contour GL. Problem is, I didn't
get anything other than the receiver itself, the manuals, and the
wiring harness it came with...so, being an install virgin, I'm left
wondering

a. if I need the "sleeve" it originally came with to install it in
this particular car, and
b. how complicated the whole wiring harness issue is/can be--to the
best of my knowledge, the car doesn't have Premium Sound anything
installed, but I'll have to pop the factory tape deck out to be
absolutely sure of that.
