just got a Sony rm-x4s to go with my SONY CDX-M600R headunit, from what i
can see it is compatible. However when i plug it in to the unit the head
unti turns off and the remote wont turn it on! if the head unit is off
when i plug it in nothing happens, its just beeps then does nothing.
I have never needed a code for my sony m600r but if i press reset it does
ask for a code, all i do it leave it with no power for 5mins then it comes
on ok, should I press reset with the remote plugged in then try to enter a
code i have found off the net???

Help me please guys!
