I'm getting one 15" Kicker Solobaric L7 and want to know what would be a
good amp to power it. I want a nice powered amp that will make the sub
pound, I have a budget of about $300. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.

what impedance? 4ohm, dual 4 ohm, dual 2ohm?

the JBL BP600.1 would run it ok.

My advice to you is to look on ebay for used stuff. You wont find a good
"new" amp that will adequately feed those monsters for $300.00. Still
need more info on what ohm load setup you are planning on. Even if it is
higher distortion with lower impedance, its just bass. Look for
something that will handle really low impedance loads like 0.5ohm or 1
ohm. And that has a subsonic and low pass filters. You cant go wrong
with Rockford, JL, Kicker, Alpine, HiFonics, even Lanzar Opti Drive.

I was going to go with a pair of 15" L7s myself; then I started reading
about the Adire Audio Brahma series. I bought 2 of these 15"s sound
unheard, and I am the envy of many of my friends. Blows the Kickers away
in sound quality and they are just as loud with less power requirements.
But Kicker makes great subs too. Good Luck.
