Default Boston Pro Series 8" subs and Alpine 7892 Deck

This quote was from another post and I had a question about my set up also:
Quote:"make sure the subs are receiving all freq's and you dont have a
high
pass". Sorry to barge in on this topic
but, I have 2 Boston Pro Series 8" subs powered by a Alpine 80watt per sub
2-channel amp. The deck is a Alpine 7892 and its also has a 4-channel Alpine
amp connected that drives 4 factory VW Jetta speakers, so does this mean
that I am not
supposed to
be using the HPF or the LPF in deck to route the lower frequencies to the
subs? I have the filters in the deck set at HPF=120 and the LPF=120 also.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
