This is kind of unbelievable to me , but last night we were using the Stereophile test LP to
check to see why the output of the Grado- The Reference cartridge seemed to favor the right side of the record a little. (turns out this all depends on the record) I just need a little confirmation here cause either I need to be checked back into the nuthouse or the Stereophile people announce the left side and right side backwards. We tested from phono stage input by disconnecting one side and assuring the side we think is right is not left. We also tested the test record on an old thorens/sumiko player and it is still on the wrong side. There is no way to cross wires on the cartridge or the turntable(s) Anyone else notice this? Phil Abbate Proud to not be ashamed to make a fool out of myself. |
