Can anybody tell me what would be involved in producing a 5.1 DVD-A
disc after I have recorded and mixed everything? I'm using Cubase SX (but I also have Samplitude 7), and I have a surround monitoring setup as well as a Terratec DMX 6 fire. I believe I have all the equipment necessary. My main question is I suppose, what kind of software do I have to buy to take my audio files and burn them into a DVD-A disc which can play in any DVD player? How much does it cost? Which ones are the best? Also, as a side note, I wonder if there is any kind of programming that can be done with DVD-A. I have longed dreamed about making a disc that changed dynamically over time. Changing solos and lyrics and this and that. Maybe even a few surprise tracks that only play on every tenth listening, etc. Is this possible with DVD-A? (I imagine most DVD players don't have any kind of hard drive, but maybe they do have a bit of RAM--I don't know.) If it isn't can anybody tell me about making a CD-ROM that would do this? |
