I've seen a couple postings for this error code from others. I had
the same issue error code 1 or display says ce-1 on the indash. What happened was that the unit was jammed. Someone suggested that using a credit card or thin ruler and slide under the cd magazine, push in and the magazine comes out.... didn't work for me. I unhooked the cable to the trunk unit and removed it... then removed the four screws on the case. Gently using a small screw driver i pryed up the back and have to be careful of the plastic from... you should be able to life the back case up and then playing with the plastic front and lifting the metal at the same time it will lift off and open... make sure you don't have the black plastic stickers holding the case together on the sides.... Then with the cover off i went back to the trunk and plugged it back in and using the eject button and the screw driver to move the sleeves of the magazine a bit it finally after about 4 trys came out. Be careful not to bend or break anything and don't pry much on the metal parts.... I'm sure this voids warranty and has risk of hurting something... but just thought i'd post that i'm moderately mechanical and pulled this off.. might help others.... cheers |
