Default Intermittent pop in PPA 2ube mic

I bought a cheap tube mic (PPA 2ube mic)and got what I paid for. lesson learned.
Now that I have this mic and I actually like the sound,
how do I trouble-shoot an intermittent pop that is random yet relentless?
any component that I could upgrade or replace?

Send it back. You paid money for a mike, you deserve one that works.

I bet the pops are just a side effect of a very low frequency rumble, too.
Get them to replace it with a new one of the same model that works.

Thanks Scott for the good advice. I phoned them(pacific pro audio) today and they will repair it for free, even though I bought it over a year ago.
Drew.
If you have a second, can you describe "a side effect of a very low frequency rumble"? from the mic? the stand? the source?
Thanks,
Drew

They are good folks.

From the mike... one of the standard ways that condenser mikes fail is that
they get contamination on the capsule or the electronics, and that forms
leakage paths for currents. It only takes a tiny fraction of a milliamp
to cause problems on these high-Z circuits. So you get rumbling at very
low frequencies. It's usually way too low to hear, but you can see it on
the meters, and occasionally something will clip somewhere and you'll hear
a pop.

I did not know that. Anyway I can prevent or eliminate contamination?

Keep mikes in a sealed bag with some dessicant when you aren't using them.
Don't smoke in the studio, and use a pop filter of some sort so spit does
not get into the mike. Don't take it out of the bag until it's at normal
room temperature, if you're often going out into the cold or in from the
cold, so condensation doesn't get into it.

Under regular use, you may have to clean a condenser mike every now and
then when gunk gets into it, especially in humid climates. Unfortunately
this will probably cost as much as some of those mikes sell for...
