Default Help: CD Player is intermittent when car is running

Hi,

My CD player sometimes doesn't spin up and play when the engine is
running. I wind up with an error code 3 (Clarion.) It works 100% when
the engine is off. I have the unit wired directly into the battery
with an in-line fuse. I've tried grounding it to several different
places and I just had my alternator/voltage regulator serviced today,
so that's not the problem. The radio/clock and everything else about
the unit works fine when the engine is running (or not running.)

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Darren
