Well, I have another tape to move to CD and a brand new issue. A song at
the end of one side is continued on the other side. Side one is mono, but side 2 is stereo. Mono sounds ok, but there is a lot missing that is filled in on side 2. Another song has a similar problem, it starts out in mono, but after about 15 seconds the second channel jumps in. Any ideas on blending or just go ahead and dump the second channel on these 2 songs? By "mono" do you mean that one of the channels has dropped out completely, or that both channels have the same signal on them? There isn't a lot you can do when information is missing. Once information goes away, it can't be brought back. What you want to do depends on the purpose of the transcription job. Is this for archive purposes, or for casual listening? --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

Owner does not have a tape deck anymore. |

It won't be unobtrusive, but it might be better than nothing. Then again, it might not. Try it. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |
