The itchy troll that crawled under my skin effect
Hi RATs!
Listening to an interesting amp ... The Interelectronics "Coronation 100" from the mid-50's. It has two octal bases in two sockets, each filled with 'secret circuits'. It does not appear any vacuum is needed for this implementation. Whatever pieces are in there are covered by some glop which fills the tube base to the top. If you take either out, the amp does not play. Perhaps this is an example of "Analog Rights Management"? Happy Ears! Al |

Graham Hi Graham, Not as much as you think you make Thank you for trying to make conversation, but, I don't even know where my HP distortion analyzer is. I haven't used it in years. There is more to life than you and your hangups. Thankfully You have no interest in old tube anything, personally. You just sit there and type hostile nonsense endlessly. Good for you. Bad for me. Happy Ears! Al |

Graham Hi Graham, Not as much as you think you make Thank you for trying to make conversation, but, I don't even know where my HP distortion analyzer is. I haven't used it in years. There is more to life than you and your hangups. Thankfully I can assure you I have no 'hangups' about distortions whatever other than to remove them when not required. Everything in its place. You have no interest in old tube anything, personally. You just sit there and type hostile nonsense endlessly. Good for you. Bad for me. Really ? You're quite mistaken actually. I just downloaded a huge amount of info about Siemens/Telefunken (and also Altec and Pultec) tubed mic preamps from the 50s/60s. Maybe I was imagining it ? I have it in mind to possibly manufacture 'replicas' of same. Graham |

Making money may seem recreational to you, I found it sad. Listening is much more interesting, to me. Good luck on your venture. Happy Ears! Al |

I actually have to 'ration' myself because I'll spend too much time listening to music given the chance ! Good luck on your venture. Thanks for that Al. I wish you well too. Graham |
