Default Keep it simple - midi controller wanted

I have this little magic box in my head. I'm pretty sure
it doesn't exist, but it should. I'm doing electronic music
and producing for a radio station mainly internally on
the computer. Sometimes though, it's nice to a hands
on feeling with faders and knobs.

I don't need a big digital console which could help me
with this. (press this four times, scroll to next page,
edit controller 72 bla bla)

I want a little box the size of a pack of cigarettes.
One fader and one knob. In my favorite audio software
i highlight a fader or knob which is then automatically
controlled by my box.

There's a huge number of units already just like this, though not in "single
fader" package as it's just easy cheap to make a unit with a couple of more
faders. I'd suggest rigging your mouse and it's scroll wheel to act as a
fader. Or this: http://www.contourdesign.com/shuttlepro/index.htm
