Paul: * * *Is it really this easy? http://www.ehow.com/how_6728930_tran...pro-tools.html You have to have all the tracks begin at one "zero" point, of course, but is it really this easy to do nowadays? Sorry, but you donīt mean that silly question serious, do you? You don't seriously think a Newbie would ever have any questions, would you? Itīs just as easy or complicated as it used to be last year, 5 years ago or 8 years ago. Itīs a simple principle: just solo each track one by one and "export to audio" for each used track, until all tracks are done. *You just have to do this for each audio track? For each audio track, that you want to import into any other DAW software, which canīt read Cubaseīs project files... For example, if you have 3 different tracks of the same lead vocal and want to use only the track with the best performance, thereīs simply no need to export the other tracks containing the same material with not as good performances. And just make all your VST MIDI files into audio tracks first, before transfering, right? could be helpful. And you need to make sure the master tempo is the same in each DAW, right? Well, it depends on what you want to do. If you just want mix in a different program and donīt want to use tempo syncīed fx like delay or add other synths, setting the tempo is quite irrelevant. You obviously should read some manuals for your software and probably get a book (yes, a paper one at best) for DAW basics. And try to understand: simple logic basics also apply to DAW usage... Well, if you did some research, you would know that transferring tracks from one DAW to another can sometimes be a pain in the ass. Certainly in the past, and still is in certain cases. |
