Is there such a thing as an audio device that plugs into a computer
and turns the voice into text? I used to have an old Sony mini recorder for notes and I noticed that my Windows XP Professional has voice response (which I’ve never looked into) so that started me wondering. I’m looking for something practical. I need to buy an input device but don’t want to put a lot into software to convert voice to text. I’m hopeful Windows XP already has the capability… or whatever I need to purchase is inexpensive. I don’t anticipate high volume usage. |

Hi,
Dragon is good software. Just remember, anything you use - you have to train. The harder you work the better the results. What are you using it for? There may be other options but you need to be more descriptive. |

There's a company I know that often had recorded messages on their phone system. Feeding them into Via Voice nearly had me into convulsions of laughter. Graham |

One problem I found was when I was using it in the same room as my pet Budgies. THEN I found the results to be hilarious. A good directional mic is mandatory. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au |
