Default Holy ****: The Palin/Couric interview

Okay...who still wants to argue with me that she's ready to lead the
country?

I told you so.

I just watched the SNL takeoff of that interview.

They really didn't have to do much to it. It was a parody unto itself.

**Indeed. The View (that show with 5 women on a couch) showed the Palin
clip, followed by the Tina Fey parody. It was almost word-for-word.

Why are people seriously considering McCain/Palin? Is it the
religion/abortion thing? Are 50% of American voters really THAT shallow? I
guess Arny will vote Republican.

You'd have to ask somebody who is seriously considering them. That
would not be me. I told a friend recently that Obama would have to do
something pretty spectacular to lose my vote.

President Palin. My god, the mere thought of it makes my skin crawl.
"We keep an eye on the Australians, and if we see any, we ask them
what they're doing and then tell them to 'Shoo!'" LOL!

I note that 2pid has disappeared. He'd be the one to ask, as he'll
vote republican no matter what bone-headed ticket they put up. Perhaps
he expired holding his breath for Palin to say something smart during
the interviews.

Not that he's know smart if it bit him in his ass. LOL!

Anyway, presumably you've seen that even some conservatives are saying
"No mas"?

Palin Problem
She’s out of her league.

It was fun while it lasted.

Palin’s recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and now
Katie Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident
candidate. Who Is Clearly Out Of Her League.

No one hates saying that more than I do. Like so many women, I’ve been
pulling for Palin, wishing her the best, hoping she will perform
brilliantly. I’ve also noticed that I watch her interviews with the
held breath of an anxious parent, my finger poised over the mute
button in case it gets too painful. Unfortunately, it often does. My
cringe reflex is exhausted.

And the fact that McCain picked her (and in the manner that he did)
should raise some pretty substantial and alarming questions about
*his* leadership ability.

The polls are swinging hard toward Obama. McCain pulled even and
slightly ahead of Obama after his convention bump but he's been
sliding since. I attribute that not only to national circumstance, but
also to people getting to know the "pit bull with lipstick" a little
better. The sheen is wearing off.
