We should start a pool on the day that Sarah Palin has to step down as
the vice-presidential candidate. This baby thing's about to explode big-time. The Republicans will try to say she was noble by doing this, but the fact is she lied every which way to pull this off. Plus, it's just another example of a Bible-thumping Christian family that can't quite keep its randy teenagers under control. Boon |

I think it would have shown integrity to tell everyone "Hey, my 16-year-old daughter is pregnant, but we're a Christian family and we stick together and we'll get through this and do the right thing." The whole cover-up mentality is what's most alarming. If you remember, that's what Watergate was about. Boon |

In fact, I'm saying none of it adds up, and that the truth is even more convoluted than we imagined. If the daughter suddenly "miscarries," then it will be obvious what happened. How does your daughter's irresponsibility affect your judgement? Because you didn't raise her right...especially by Christian standards. (And I use the term :standards" very loosely when it comes to Christian, since they tend to fluctuate according to the sales plan...er, I mean God's plan.) Should parents be required to take the blame for all the mistakes of their kids? It would be a better world if they did. Having fine, outstanding children is a qualifier for public office? Yes. It means you led your children into adulthood with care and skill and intelligence. How about bad silings, does that knock you out also? Do you mean if one of your kids is good and one is bad? That's called inconsistency and an inability to adjust to different circumstances. Not a good trait for a leader. Bad parents, too? If you can succeed despite a bad childhood, then you're strong and independent. If you blame everything on your parents, you're a victim and you have no right to lead others. Boon |

Or do you think a woman who decides to give birth well into her forties is showing good common-sense? OK, I've had enough of your simplistic bombast. What you're dimly alluding to is the overall *probability* of complications for a certain age group. You don't know what Palin's actual risk is. Do you know for a fact that she didn't consult her obstetrician? Are you aware that the two largest risk factors for the baby can be diagnosed in utero? Are you aware that the odds of the mother developing some of the big problems can be forecast by her own, individual history? Palin, like MANY (note the emphasis) Christians, is attempting to shovel her person belief system down the throats of every American. Or do you thnk her idiotic stance on birth control, teenage sex education, moose hunting is all good? This is a separate issue. Many voters embrace Palin's crackpot 'values'. You just got done telling us Oz also has a problem with religious whackos. If you think it's effective to say such beliefs as Palin holds are nonsensical or superstitious, you don't know much about politics in the USA. |

What you're dimly alluding to is the overall *probability* of complications for a certain age group. **Indeed. Stupid women take chances by giving birth at such an age. Therefore Palin is stupid. You don't know what Palin's actual risk is. **Her risk is far higher than a (say) 20 year old. Do you know for a fact that she didn't consult her obstetrician? **She appears to lack the intellect to do so. Are you aware that the two largest risk factors for the baby can be diagnosed in utero? **Indeed. In fact, it is highly likely that she would have been informed of the condition of her foetus. She decided to inflict a life of hardship on that foetus anyway. Are you aware that the odds of the mother developing some of the big problems can be forecast by her own, individual history? **Yep. Palin, like MANY (note the emphasis) Christians, is attempting to shovel her person belief system down the throats of every American. You just got done telling us Oz also has a problem with religious whackos. **Indeed. BIG problems. If you think it's effective to say such beliefs as Palin holds are nonsensical or superstitious, you don't know much about politics in the USA. **Apparently. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au |

Morons like Palin are capable of popping out babies, without regard to how those children will cope with life. Schools need to fill in the gaps. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au |

You think the schools do better than parents? LoL. **It is abundantly clear that a large number of parents are incapable of providing proper preparation for real life to their children. Are you unaware of this fact? Morons like Palin are capable of popping out babies, without regard to how those children will cope with life. Did your mother abandon you? What is this deep seated rage against mothers? **I have a deep seated rage against moronic mothers. My mother was not a moron. I was provided excellent sex education, both by my parents and at school. My mother was well aware of contraception and ensured that she did not give birth at an age where a child would be much more likely to develop serious defects. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au |

![]() Another nugget of history from Witlessmongrel's horrible upbringing is pinched off. **Her risk is far higher than a (say) 20 year old. Yeah, 20 year olds are so exceedingly well equipped to raise and provide for children today. So in addition to being a chain smoker and a chronic drunk, your mama was also a knocked-up teenager. So much becomes clear when you make the effort to communicate, Yapper. |
