We should start a pool on the day that Sarah Palin has to step down as
the vice-presidential candidate. This baby thing's about to explode
big-time. The Republicans will try to say she was noble by doing
this, but the fact is she lied every which way to pull this off.

Plus, it's just another example of a Bible-thumping Christian family
that can't quite keep its randy teenagers under control.

If this is all true, why (at the time it happened) cover
for her daughter, its no big stigmal, being young, single, and
pregnant

Well...she lied to everyone about it. I think it would have shown
integrity to tell everyone "Hey, my 16-year-old daughter is pregnant,
but we're a Christian family and we stick together and we'll get
through this and do the right thing."

The whole cover-up mentality is what's most alarming. If you
remember, that's what Watergate was about.

I thought Watergate was about the persecution of a visionary leader and

But on reflection, you might be right.

Or, it could have been a purely political move...you know, "I'm the

Now the daughter's five months pregnant.

I would say the Universe is doing everything it can to ensure that a

I wonder just how damned stupid the American electorate is, what with
polls saying the race could go to either candidate. McCain has actually
endorsed Dumbya's failed adventure in Iraq. What could be worse than 20
more years of that quagmire?

Well, they re-elected Bush. The stupidity of the American voters is

Honestly, this whole Palin thing's gonna be a huge misstep. The

That's my point. I have nothing personal against Palin. It appears
that she's really doing a lot of good work in Alaska. She should stay
and complete it.

Is laughing about Foley, Craig, or Haggard "christian-hating'? Or is

Another reason why I'm bringing this up. I'm really tired of
politicians confusing love of Jeebus with the ability to be a leader.
I think anyone who believes in fairy tales should not be in charge of
others. The hypocrisy levels are way too high.

I would make the same comments about a male candidate running for Vice
President. Hey dude...your 17-year-old daughter is pregnant with her
second child...maybe you need to take a break from four or five of

While I would say that between Sarah and her husband Todd there does
not appear to be a lot of "family values". Both have very busy careers
from the looks of it with raising their kids taking a backseat to
their careers.

What turned me off from the left was all of their hatreds.
It goes against the hippyish spirit of liberalism I grew up with.
I find both the far left and far right to be equally disgusting.
So,having said that, it would be hypocritical for me to keep
wishing that Arny would get run over by a Detroit city bus.
An old psychedelic festooned school bus would be much more appropriate

It's called Irish twins.

I'm not saying it all adds up. In fact, I'm saying none of it adds
up, and that the truth is even more convoluted than we imagined. If
the daughter suddenly "miscarries," then it will be obvious what
happened.

How does your daughter's irresponsibility affect your judgement?

Because you didn't raise her right...especially by Christian
standards. (And I use the term :standards" very loosely when it comes
to Christian, since they tend to fluctuate according to the sales
plan...er, I mean God's plan.)

Should parents be required to take the blame for all the mistakes of
their kids?

It would be a better world if they did.

Having fine, outstanding children is a qualifier for public office?

Yes. It means you led your children into adulthood with care and
skill and intelligence.

How about bad silings, does that knock you out also?

Do you mean if one of your kids is good and one is bad? That's called
inconsistency and an inability to adjust to different circumstances.
Not a good trait for a leader.

Bad parents, too?

If you can succeed despite a bad childhood, then you're strong and
independent. If you blame everything on your parents, you're a victim
and you have no right to lead others.

Exactly. This is far from over. Besides, it's clear that Palin needs
to spend a little more time leading her family. She's got 5
kids...but have you seen all the committees and organizations she
belongs to? Something's not right about that.

I would make the same comments about a male candidate running for Vice
President. Hey dude...your 17-year-old daughter is pregnant with her
second child..

I'm sorry, but I will never consider a link to a blog as a viable
response.

I see. So Kos is only good enough to start your "conservative"
redneck,
white trash, biggotted, sexist tirade, but not finish it. Ok.

I keep looking "Kos" in the dictionary, in Wikipedia, and it's not
showing up anywhere.

You need to speak English.

He means the Daily Kos website, but I can't tell what he means about it.

I don't know what that is...perhaps because I don't use blogs to
dictate how I feel about the issues.

I do like this one, though:

We should start a pool on the day that Sarah Palin has to
step down as the vice-presidential candidate.

I love to see Christian-hater, Republican-hater hypocrisy in action.

**Perhaps Boon is not hating Palin for being a Christian. Perhaps he shows
contempt for her, because she is an idiot. Or do you think a woman who
decides to give birth well into her forties is showing good common-sense?
Palin, like MANY (note the emphasis) Christians, is attempting to shovel her
person belief system down the throats of every American. Or do you thnk her
idiotic stance on birth control, teenage sex education, moose hunting is all
good?

Here's a well-thought out comment from your next possible President:

---

When a reporter asked McCain whether he thought contraceptives help stop the
spread of HIV, he replied: "You've stumped me." McCain said later that he
was sure he opposed government spending on contraceptives. Asked whether he
would oppose condom distribution if he knew that condoms stop the spread of
sexually transmitted diseases, McCain said he had never got into those
issues before.

That's real Presidential material you're supporting. Sheesh! Over here, we'd
call him an idiot. In the US, you guys call him a Presidential candidate.

OK, I've had enough of your simplistic bombast. What you're dimly alluding
to is the overall *probability* of complications for a certain age group.
You don't know what Palin's actual risk is. Do you know for a fact that
she didn't consult her obstetrician? Are you aware that the two largest
risk factors for the baby can be diagnosed in utero? Are you aware that
the odds of the mother developing some of the big problems can be forecast
by her own, individual history?

Palin, like MANY (note the emphasis) Christians, is attempting to shovel her

This is a separate issue. Many voters embrace Palin's crackpot 'values'.
You just got done telling us Oz also has a problem with religious whackos.
If you think it's effective to say such beliefs as Palin holds are
nonsensical or superstitious, you don't know much about politics in the
USA.

**Indeed. Stupid women take chances by giving birth at such an age.
Therefore Palin is stupid.

You don't know what Palin's actual risk is.

**Her risk is far higher than a (say) 20 year old.

Do you know for a fact that
she didn't consult her obstetrician?

**She appears to lack the intellect to do so.

Are you aware that the two largest
risk factors for the baby can be diagnosed in utero?

**Indeed. In fact, it is highly likely that she would have been informed of
the condition of her foetus. She decided to inflict a life of hardship on
that foetus anyway.

Are you aware that
the odds of the mother developing some of the big problems can be forecast
by her own, individual history?

**Yep.

**Apparently.

Since our schools can't seem to even get reading writing and
arithmetic
across, why should they supplant parents for something as
important as this?

**Because it is clear that moronic parents (such as Palin) cannot manage
such things properly. Morons like Palin are capable of popping out babies,
without regard to how those children will cope with life. Schools need to
fill in the gaps.

You think the schools do better than parents? LoL.

**It is abundantly clear that a large number of parents are incapable of
providing proper preparation for real life to their children. Are you
unaware of this fact?

Morons like Palin are capable of popping out babies,
without regard to how those children will cope with life.

Did your mother abandon you? What is this deep seated rage
against mothers?

**I have a deep seated rage against moronic mothers. My mother was not a
moron. I was provided excellent sex education, both by my parents and at
school. My mother was well aware of contraception and ensured that she did
not give birth at an age where a child would be much more likely to develop
serious defects.

Another nugget of history from Witlessmongrel's horrible upbringing is
pinched off.

**Her risk is far higher than a (say) 20 year old.

Yeah, 20 year olds are so exceedingly well equipped to
raise and provide for children today.

So in addition to being a chain smoker and a chronic drunk, your mama was
also a knocked-up teenager. So much becomes clear when you make the effort
to communicate, Yapper.
