Has any one had speed problems with there nak cr7 or can guide me in
the right direction. I have not used it in while, belt looks OK but I'm sure it could use new one. It plays fine for about 5 to 10 minutes then starts to slow down 30-40 minutes later. Sometimes is so slow it almost stops. I try another tape and starts OK for a few minutes and it goes back to slow. Does the direct motor supposed to have plenty of torque cause I can stop it kind of easily. Ray |

Ray If it's a direct drive motor, no it wouldn't have a lot of torque, but you could have a lubrication problem. For example at the bearings where the flywheel(s) capstan shafts feed through the mechanism. This sort of thing would often get worse with playing time. Worth a try cleaning and lubricating those shafts and bearings, I would say. Mark Z. |
