No, but RAO is pretty dead as audio groups go.

I know you're still hoping to be notived by the "real
audio guys" by working fiercely on your "usenet career",

You're delusional, Sander.

but if you'd care to look outside your little scope of
vision, you'd notice that web-based forums are far more
active places.

Been there, done that probably long before you did, Sander. Unlike you, I
can tell the difference between quantity and quality. Not that RAO has much
of either, but what do you expect from a group that is dominated by you and
your kind of ilk? I just stop by every now and then and throw out some
rotten boney meat for the local pack of mad dogs to gnaw on. Enjoy this
bone, Sander.

Unlike you, I'm willing to concede that fact.

Yes, like why needing 1200 watts.ch. in a home audio system, versus a
nicely built 100 watts amp that is enough for 99.9 % of all speakers.
Certain Infinity speakers are excluded, just ask Trevor.

Not that RAO has much
of either, but what do you expect from a group that is dominated by you and
your kind of ilk?

RAO dominated by me? Hardly. I rarely post here anymore, and most
posts are crossposted from RATubes.
My "ilk"? You mean people like Graham or Peter Wieck, who are
gainfully employed or self-employed in the field of audio, a field you
so desperately want to belong to that you devote large parts of your
time to post to Usenet?

I simply don't have the time (or rather: don't want to make time) for
wading through thousands of messages about US politics and the
occasional snot post by "you and your ilk"about tube and vinyl bigots,
thank you very much.

I just stop by every now and then and throw out some

I'd prefer to gnaw on a rotten meaty bone any day than to become as
bitter and self-pitying as you seem to be, Arny.

Then why bother?

What are you ranting and raving about now? Who do you think has 1200 wpc in
a home audio system?

As if that was all that matters.

RAO dominated by me?

Thats not what I said Sander, but I guess I should just let you rant on,
incoherently.

Hardly. I rarely post here anymore,

What self-pity is that, Sander? The self-pity that you, Middius, Paul and
Jenn project every time you post?

Congratulations, Jenn. You've been promoted to the first rank of Most
Feared Normals, and you've been posting to RAO for less than a year. You
know you're scaring the krap out of Krooger when he bitches about you
every day even without posting to the thread. Most of us need at least
three years to attain that level.

Is there an error here, George? Shouldn't it be "even without you
posting to the thread"?

What? Are you telling me you sold off your QSC amplifiers?

Good move!

A little fairy whispered it in my ear.

What indicates that to you?

That you still didn't define "people of my ilk", and didn't deny that
"my ilk" consists of people like Graham or Peter Wieck, who are
gainfully employed or self-employed in the field of audio.
A field, you so desperately want to belong to that you devote large
chunks of your time to post to Usenet audio groups, in the (vain) hope
that once, a "real audio guy" will notice, and hire you?

I simply don't have the time (or rather: don't want to

I haven't seen any political crap, nor the words "tube bigot" or
"vinyl bigot" in this conversation from you, Arny.
That's why I am still here ;-)

I'm sure I will stay up late all night, worrying about what you think
of me, Arny.

Did your father hit you over the head with an output transformer once,
Arny? Is that where your hatred of tubes comes from?

You can tell me, it will make me understand why you are doing the
things you're doing, and it will lighten your burden.

Trust me.

Surely you mean 'your ilk' ?

Reminds me of the popular and incorrect use in the USA of a 'high rate of speed'
!
