I'm sure there are more modern op amps but without any data sheets
it's not straight forward to guess an appropriate replacement.


**Sometimes. However, I've caught out a few times. I've found OP amps which
are very low power, or have some other peculiar characteristics, which are
difficult to substitute for. Always best to have ALL the data first.
