How can I improve the switching power supply of a cd player? Is it possible to replace with a normal power supply? My player is a Pioneer DV-355 Thanks Modding an SMPS is not a trivial task -- the ESR of the output filter capacitors affect the stability of the feedback (error control) loop -- you can make a decent supply awful if you use caps with a different ESR from those originally specified. |
