Describe exactly which board and exactly where on the board your burned
resistor is.
On board # 77.370-.01
there are two relays on the left, a space and then a relay on the
right. behind the right relay are two devices labeled .047 microfarad.
In between this devices there are two resistors. The one on the right
is burned. The first 2 value rings on the burned resistor are gold and
grey the gofd resistor on its left has rings gold purple green green and
measures 0.05 on the 2k scale. The burned one measures the same

Oopps, the manual is not in its place. I cannot find it. It has been too
long. I cannot recall what those resistors do. My guess, and it is only a
guess, is they are in series with the capstan motor servo. If the guess is
correct, either the capstan motor or the control transistor and bridge are
shorted. Odds are it is the motor, but look for the bridge and series
transistor and test them.
