I have a Sansui G-7500 purchased new in 1978 with intermittent (dirty)
volume & tone controls and intermittent or dirty switches which cause the output signal to cut in and out. I've tried cleaning them from inside, but most of these parts look as though you'd have to destroy them to disassemble them. Does anyone know if replacement parts are available? Thanks. Ed P. |

I don't know if these guys can help but it's all I've found that discusses the older Sansui equipment. They do have a parts link. http://www.sansui.us/ David |

Parts are gong to be about impossible to find for a old beast lie that. The Sansui that made it is long gone. (not to be confused with the sansui named junk out there now). The best you can do is use something like caig labs pro gold contact cleaner/lube on the pots. On the tape monitor switches and such that are sealed, i have a trick i developed to get cleaner into them. I use a thin long tipped solder pencil and burn a hole into the back plastic of the control. You have to work the control in and out to prevent the melted plastic from jamming the control. Then squirt contact cleaner into the hole and work it in and out. The caig stuff is NOT cheap, buts its the best you can get. Don't even think about cheap generic tuner cleaner or WD40.
