I never understood why people don't send their "real post" as a test.

Well, I found that one of my old consumer (Lafayette) dynamic mikes,
which had a dished end, made a good electronic stethoscope and rendered
my cat's purring marvelously...

Well, they tend to record as clear as country water, which is somewhat
paradoxical, considering their natural aversion to the same...

That bit was a brilliant characterization of the breed. Was
it Disney? I can't remember.

Me neither, but it was 'scope, and Rodgers and Hammerstein, so
who's counting? And Deborah Kerr; what can anyone say? And
Marnie Nixon dubs; classic plus. Yul Brynner? Fine by me.

The dance sequence parodying contemporary American musicals
was so far ahead of its time as to be unrecognisable in 1956.
And, independently, great stufff. Don't bother with the old
pan/scan tapes if you can spring for the 'scope version on DVD.
Just for the bizarre Mark Twain-ish dance anyway.

Yeah, I know, it's embarrassing; so what? Life's short.

Thinking (?) back on this, one can only wish that the poster's
life were better organized than his (and sadly, it's always a "his")
post.

When one gets to conflating _The King and I_ with Disney cartoons
it's a true sign of Oliver Sacks syndrome. Please accept my apologies.

Whew, I was afraid this was a return of the "meow brigade".
