Some may need partial "crimping" with pliers to reduce the diameter to slip into the shell. In fact, if you don't have the proper crimp tool, you 'd likely be better off soldering than trying to crimp with generic pliers, etc. I have to agree. I've made a lot of Canare double shield digital video cables that use precision strippers and crimpers. Gold center pins too. I am confident these crimpes cables will stand up to the very best, BUT the system is based on having exactly the right size connectors crimpers, strippers and connectors. Remove any one of these and you got radio shack quality. Julian |
