Hi all,
I've noticed a slight problem on the first fader of my new Crest XR20. When you move the fader past the "30" marking, I feel a slight resistance and a "clicky" kind of feel and noise. It doesn't seem to affect the audio at all. Anyone ever come across this ? I've emailed Crest about it, no response yet. Cheers, Mark. -- |

.. . Are they easy to replace ? When I look at taking the back off of the mixer, it looks like I have to unscrew all of the TSR nuts, but as long as the TSR sockets themselves remain in place then I guess thats do-able. Anybody done this before ? Electronics is part of my job so I'm not too afraid of taking it apart.... honest ! If you do take it apart take some pictures for the rest of us Crest owners. I'd like to host a page with how-to directions but I haven't needed to open mine up yet. Sean |

These things aren't anywhere near as easy to work on as a fully-modular console, but compared with a Mackie they are an absolute joy. Everything inside is easy to get to and it's clearly intended to be repaired. Yes, you do have to pop off all the retaining rings from the 1/4" jacks as I recall. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra.
