Hello everyone...
I know that this topic has come up before, but I wanted to post an update for those who might have missed it. Last night I saw a screening of the film " Tom Dowd and the Language of Music" at Skywalker Ranch, and was blown away. I didn't realise the range of influence he had on music from 1950 on. Truly incredible. And, it is a wonderful look at the evolution of recording. For anyone who cares, the DVD is now shipping from Amazon.com, and is also available for rental. It also is showing on some screens, but I don't know where. Well worth seeing. Kirt Shearer Paradise Studios Sacramento, CA. |
