Hi
I read a post by Scott Dorsey saying that positioning mics 3 to 4 feet apart over the soundboard when recording a piano would produce phase shift or mono problems. the case being Both mics are the same distance from the soundboard (they may be different distances from certain hammers on the piano but 80% of the sound on a piano comes from the big soundboard ) Is it also reccomended to keep your monitors close together when listening to playback ? Why is it ok to place your monitors 3- 4 feet apart ? Walt Rubus |
