Hi,

I have a home studio that is also my business, so my equipment can't
be covered by regular renter's insurance. I've been using MusicPro
Insurance but they are extremely slow in responding to e-mails and
faxes, and they rarely (never?)answer the phone; so I worry about how
they might respond to a claim. I would appreciate any recommendations
or anti-recommendations regarding equipment insurance. And, if anyone
has had any good or bad experiences with MusicPro Insurance
specifically,I would be interested to hear about it.

Joe Kenny

They have a studio policy and Joe's a good guy. I search around a lot
phoning studios and insurance companies, and found them and am happy.

Same here - I just waited 3 months to get *someone else's* equipment
list in the mail. Totally unprofessional and incompetent. I've used
Clarion, maybe I'll go back. Anyone getting under $1 per $100 rate?

Boy, I was just about to post the exact same message. They (Music Pro)
have literally taken months to send me a copy of the insured items
list - and it was someone else's! I smell incompetence...

I'm looking to change. I used someone else before - Clarion, I
believe. Maybe I'll go back. I'm insuring around $45k - I'd like to
find something for $1 per $100 or lower. Anyone please post any good
results (or bad) here.

union dues was less than anything else I could find, including a
professional use rider attached to my homeowners insurance. $55k of
insurance + dues is about $650 per year if I remember rightly.
