Default Equipment Insurance Recommendations

Hi,

I have a home studio that is also my business, so my equipment can't
be covered by regular renter's insurance. I've been using MusicPro
Insurance but they are extremely slow in responding to e-mails and
faxes, and they rarely (never?)answer the phone; so I worry about how
they might respond to a claim. I would appreciate any recommendations
or anti-recommendations regarding equipment insurance. And, if anyone
has had any good or bad experiences with MusicPro Insurance
specifically,I would be interested to hear about it.

Thanks!

Ditto.

Joe runs "The Recording Studio Insurance Program" there. I switched to them
about six months ago. Very responsive, knowledgable, and reasonable. I'm
saving almost 30% over my last BOP.

Join the American Federation of Musicians. The cost of the insurance + the
union dues was less than anything else I could find, including a
professional use rider attached to my homeowners insurance. $55k of
insurance + dues is about $650 per year if I remember rightly.
