Does anyone use Sonar with the Event1 EZBus?

(Forgive my non-technical description)

My specific problem is that when I record to Sonar, the track level
lights say that it (the Sonar track) is getting a good loud signal
from the EZBus. when I finish recording the sound on that track is
really quiet. Anyone have any ideas?

Then also, more generally, any words of wisdom for working with the
EZBus? I've found that the documentation is pretty obtuse and the
user interface on it is quite difficult...so, although I've had it for
a year and a half, getting it to do anything much beyond basic mixing
tasks is fairly hit-or-miss.
