You have to remember, this guy is in a dorm room, most likely
already
surrounded by subwoofers in other dorm rooms. Generally kids don't

mind the
noise from neighbors. I work at on a college campus and when I go

to the
dorms, there is ALWAYS loud music playing. There doesn't seem to be

any
trouble caused by it, because the other kids don't mind.


Somebody hand this man a...wait, nevermind... At least I can tell my
neighbors that *my* bass has good SQ, vs. their little 6.5" "computer"
woofers that boom at 40Hz!

At this point, I might go DIY with a high excursion 8" or the
Rava...that's a lot of woofer and amp for the price. I don't have any
money for this project yet (spent it all on the other parts of the
system), so right now it's all...well...academic.

Thanks for the advice though.
