I don't think it devolves to be his decision. I am not sure I agree that children should be a special case and should not be free people. At age 4? Age 8? Age 12? At no time? I think all humans should be free, always. When do think a person should be allowed to decide what he is going to do with his life and his property? At age 18? Age 24? Never? Are you planning to answer this question? So you're okay with an 11 year old who decides to become a prostitute. No, of course I'm not 'okay' with such a thing. How does agreeing that someone has the right to do something equate to being *OK* with it? This another well known tactic of liberals, they resort to the absolute worst case scenario, the things that are least likely to happen. This is a confusion that seems to be widespread. The point is that it isn't *my* choice, it's hers. When do you think a person has the right to make his own choices about his life and his property - when he is 18? 24? Ever? She's exercising her free will and judgment? Yes. Her *poor* judgement. This is why the normal arrangement is that a child lives with (a) responsible adult(s) and follows their direction. You're not a parent I take it. That's correct. - Susan |
