Default Let It Be...with a Fig Leaf

Not the main point of my post though. One can debate things like that
forever but it is fact based on Paul's own words compared to
Harrison,Lennon and Starr's lack of words regarding Let it be, that
Let it be most affected Paul. I've read lennon complaining how Paul
would arrive after a long hiatus and say let's record here's my songs
while John scrambled to come up with something.(I for one am glad that
Paul pushed John)For Let it be Paul came out with the Long and winding
road, around same time Hey Jude. You'
d be hard pressed to hear I dig a pony being done over at the rate of
those 2 songs. You can see how Paul was so rehearsed in the movie when
he introduced his new song, long and winding road. It was almost
perfect from the start. You can tell he was quite proud of it. In the
movie Paul was giving a lot of direction. At one point tensions really
built between Paul and George. The arguement was over arrangment
ideas. Paul had to have his way. The original title was going to be
"Get Back"..another Paul song. It's not that hard to understand Paul
had more of an interest in Let it be than say Ringo, or the estate of
John or George.

I happened to be listening in the living room of a gent named David Anderle.
He had a wonderful picture of Brain Wilson on the wall. I think he got his
copy from Apple. He was the Pres of Electra at the time,
but I really don't remember. What I remember, was being
gassed by the tracks. Right place, right time & luck.
Then again it could have been a head shop. ;-)

(georgeh)

The bootlegs of Let It Be were fairly common in the "head shops" of the day.

Hell, there are bootleg record labels of the Glyn John's alternative mixes
of Let It Be and so forth, if you really want to buy a CD of one (they're not
CDR's either), go over to the Beatles newsgroup.

Not too many people know about
Paul's speech where he advocated using Ringo to look for hidden mines in
Cambodia.

That's because Paul was speaking to the Heritage Foundation & the biased
liberal media doesn't report on those events.

Nah, to me, it sounds better than the Glyn Johns mix

I've got some boots of the Glyn Johns mixes. Pretty cool, but the quality

of my
copy is poop.

I really dunno if I mind the 'finished' mixes being released...chatter

gone,
etc... but agree that was part of the charm of the original. Arguments,

warts
and all.

I just wish they'd release the movie on DVD.
